Be a Terror Extra

Since I just posted the Terror interview I thought this would be appropriate: Terror is seeking “rugged” extras for a music video for their song “Never Alone.” Shooting takes place in Philadelphia so I thought it would be somewhat relevant to post. Check it out at metalunderground.com.

This should have been posted a while ago but I just never got around to it. I was probably mad because I didn’t actually get to see the show (which was at Blender/Gramarcy with Earth Crisis). But anyways, I think it’s one of the first real interviews of AngryNY so far. It was shot in Terror’s tour van, in case you’re curious. Let me know what you think.

Yaay! The site looks slightly better!

So yeah. I found I was doing things the hard way when I first launched the site and decided to make my life easier. And in doing so, I increased its aesthetic appearance. So now I’ll have time to work on the Terror interview and it will be up soon. There are about 6,000,000 shows coming up so I’m hoping to have some more footage by the end of the month.

New Integrity Album

Normally I don’t post news like this but this happened to catch my attention: Integrity will release a new album this year. Integrity is one of the few bands that links to a style that never had a chance to blossom. Some people dubbed it “Holy Terror Hardcore” because it was meant to scare the “holy terror” out of you. Integrity wasn’t the most extreme style of holy terror but they were close and, of course, awesome.

The Earth Crisis crisis and Upcoming Shows

You can’t win them all I guess. I knew my lucky streak of getting into shows for free would end eventually. And unfortunately Earth Crisis was that show. I did get an interview however with the guitarist from Terror and will be posting it soon. In the mean time, plenty of concerts coming up, especially at Blender Theater. On March 13th they have the Victory Records Tour with Bury Your Dead, Emmure (also see video below), The Warriors, and With Blood Comes Cleansing. Immediately following that on March 18th is Throwdown with Soilwork. And of course there’s is Converge with Baroness and Genghis Tron on April 1st, ALL at Blender Theater. Eventually I’ll get around to some local shows, I promise. Anybody who reads this and knows of some upcoming local gigs should contact me and I’ll try to cover it.

The Red Chord & Emmure at Blender

The dudes from The Red Chord are some of the coolest chaps around. They are definitely the kind of guys that make organizing this stuff worth it. Special thanks to Keller and Nicole who, to make a long story short, got me the interview and into the show. I’d also like to thank Frank from Emmure for taking time to do an interview and Gabe from the Blender Theater.

Devil Wears Prada & A Day to Remember at Nokia

or the most part, I believe that a good filmmaker/editor can manipulate his content into whatever form he desires. However, there are certain cases which content dictates form. Obviously, there are many ways to compile the following content, but given what I had access to (the backstage) and what I had little access to (the main stage) this format seemed the most logical. I must admit, however, interviewing A Day to Remember began to feel a bit like a David Cronenberg movie; what was and was not true became blurred. Perhaps those of you more familiar with them will be able to filter it. Nevertheless, A.D.T.R. and Mike from The Devil Wears Prada were very appreciative and tubular fellows.

Demized Spotlite
